Try this Simple Poha Recipe and have the dish as breakfast along with your family members. It is easy to prepare but hearty breakfast and also called as brunch dish that is originated from North India. Have a look.
Ingredients
- 2 cupsPoha
- 1 Chili
- ½ cup Chopped carrot
- ½ cupPotato
- ¼ cup Green peas
- ½ cup Chopped onions
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 Lime
- 2 tablespoons Oil
- ½ teaspoon Sugar saltto taste
- ¼ cup Coriander leaves
Directions
- Wash poha with cold water and drain all the water
- Set it aside
- Place a pan and add oil to it
- Add mustard seeds and saute them for few seconds
- Add chopped potatoes and fry them for few minutes
- Add carrots and peas. Fry them for 2 minutes
- Add chopped onions and cook them well
- When all the vegetables are cooked, add sugar, salt, chili and turmeric to it
- Mix them well and finally add poha to it
- Mix everything well and cook poha till it becomes little dry
- If it is too try, just sprinkle little water on it and mix everything
- Off the heat and garnish it with coriander leaves
- Cover the pan with lid and then serve it after 5 minutes.
Poha tates good with Andhra Gongura Chutney or even with Mango Flower Chutney.
